Ostraco Suites – Mykonos Island

In my decade of travel, the Big Blue Villa is one of my all time favorite stays. Nestled on the iconic caldera (rocky volcanic cliffs) of the village of Oia, the Big Blue Villa has everything you need for a dreamy Santorini vacation. The two-story villa features a living/dining room area and a kitchenette on the upper floor and a bedroom suite on the lower floor. While the villa itself is amazing, the real gem is the balcony with the pool and absolutely stunning views of the infamous Santorini caldera.
Unlike most of the hotels/villas along the caldera, the Big Blue Villa’s elevated balcony gives guests a birds-eye view of the Aegean Sea and the winding cliffside. It also provides privacy, as there are walking paths that weave through all of the lower level villas along the cliff. The villa has on call staff to help guests book excursions and arrange transportation. Prices range from $500 – $800 USD per night, depending on the season.
